I also have a soft spot in my heart for Macnee not only for his spot in Spinal Tap but also for his early, *early* turn as a young Jacob Marley in the best (in my opinion, anyway) version of <i>A Christmas Carol</i> - England's 1951 <i>Scrooge</i> starring Alastair Sim. My DVD copy has Patrick Macnee introducing the film.
