If Playboy was why women are still oppressed then why don't we stop posing for it? For fuck's sake - the women are pretty if not a bit vacuous and it's a shit load of money to do it. Hell if I had a body like some of those women I wouldn't care about stripping down and having my pic taken. Please that woman needs to get a grip.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7415178.post-37883938031579669502007-10-26T11:39:00.000-04:002007-10-26T11:39:00.000-04:00"...She swore that Playboy contained hardcore SM, ..."...She swore that Playboy contained hardcore SM, degradation, caged women..."

Damn! She swore that Playboy contained hardcore SM, degradation, caged women and other disturbing stuff. I insisted it did not, she insisted that it did, and so on. Said argument finally ended when I invited her to come back to my place, check out the Playboy collection that myself AND MY THEN-WIFE had assembled, and see if she could find a single image of the type she described. Said "friendship" ended on that note, with her predictable refusal and declaration that I was the reason that women were still oppressed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7415178.post-51339944964336563902007-10-26T11:08:00.000-04:002007-10-26T11:08:00.000-04:00I love Clockwork. In fact, I think it's Kubrick's best film (the "trip" scene and a lack of a coherent ending almost ruined 2001 and Spartacus, while great, could easily be a C.B. DeMille film).

Getting back to one of your earlier comments, I can't think of any modern actor who could pull off the role of Alex as well as Malcolm Mcdowell did. There's been a few good young actors over the years who maybe could've pulled off the charming, yet menacing, sociopath angle, but everyone's so damn pretty nowadays... Maybe Colin Farrell could do it. Maybe not...John Blighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06543592173944572738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7415178.post-55318428112092653062007-10-26T10:55:00.000-04:002007-10-26T10:55:00.000-04:00Saw it 100 times--don't ask why.JSaw it 100 times--don't ask why.

JAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
