I found the book fascinating in its train-wreck atrocity, but ultimately boring. Never got back in touch with Randy, because I really wasn't good at telling a fellow professional, "Well, I respect your ability to give your artist a bunch of really fucked-up shit to draw, but my book line requires actual writing ability." <i>Faust</i>'s one redeeming feature was Tim Vigil's almost (but not quite) S. Clay Wilson-level talent for depicting compellingly absurd levels of blasphemy and carnage. I agree - this dude was probably a fan.
