And lo, he doth bestride the earth like an Sicilian colossus, radiating sheer magnificence with each majestic stride, engendering both fear and awe in equal measure. Yea, such fulsome demi-godliness is scarce seen in these times when myth and legend are felled by science and rational thought and the great beasts and spirits told of in the fantastical, epic stories of the ancients find their passing mourned by storytellers whose day is also fading. So hail to the mighty Bligh, slayer of kegs, despoiler of virtue, singer of ribald songs and champion of the puerile. Long may his mettle be potent, pungent and hopefully potable. HAIL, MIGHTY BLIGH!!!
-excerpt from The Chronicles of Commack, as recorded by Nunzio the feculent.
If I read that right, his potency is in opposition to rational thought.
ReplyDeleteAll Hail the Mighty J. Bligh! Long may he rain pearls upon the ground!

When I first saw this and saw the "Camp Crystal Lake" t-shirt, I thought this blog was going to be about your friend who played Jason. I may be completely wrong, Steve, but didn't you tell me that you went to school with the actor, the original Jason who, as a boy, came out out of the water and tackeled the actress (Adrienne King?) to the lake? - Xtina
ReplyDeleteYes, I did go to high school with the first Jason. His name was Ari Lehman and he was a really nice guy as well as a seriously talented musician.
