ULTRA-VIOLENCE FROM THE DAWN OF THE MOVIES

Here's a silent film I would love to see:

Yes, it's the 1902 British landmark, FIGHT WITH SLEDGEHAMMERS. Concrete proof that the old ultra-violence has been around since Day One of cinema.

  1. I've always wanted to see this one, too. Ever since I saw, in 1st or 2nd grade, the poster and a reference in Denis Gifford's A Pictorial History of Horror Movies, I've been fascinated with the lurid possibilities.

    I'll bet, though, that it's not nearly as intense as it sounds...
