Remember a couple of months back when I posted about the explosion right around the corner from where I work, a situation not inaccurately described in the local papers as a "volcano on 41st Street" that looked like this when I went outside to see it for myself?
July 18th.
Well, the gaping hole on the street has finally been sealed after just over two months, restoring order to west-to-east traffic access. The repairs were originally projected for completion within two weeks after the explosion, but anyone who knows anything about NYC road repair had a good laugh over that one.
A couple of days ago.
Just thought you'd like to see how it turned out.
