ONE OF THE GREATEST SUBMISSIONS OF ALL TIME: FILTHIE RICH

Of the many questionable submissions that made its way to Marvel, perhaps none offered greater potential than the brilliant lives-up-to-its-name FILTHIE RICH, a hardcore gay parody of the old Richie Rich and Casper comics that would have fit in perfectly with Marvel's then-defunct CRAZY magazine (had that publication allowed for such raunchy material, that is). This piece was a fave even to those not into gay porn, thanks thanks to its "clever" dialogue, especially the now-immortal "This hobgoblin knows knob-gobbling!!"

To the unknown artist who came up with this: Well done, sir!

I thought that was the prequel to the Spidey Clone Saga.

Rule 34 really has no exceptions

The fact that the submitter didn't use the character's copyrighted names makes me wonder if he thought it would be published by one of the companies he sent it to (I like to think that he only sent it to Marvel, in hopes that its quality would compel them to launch a gay-porn title).

I've always felt that the big comics companies really missed the boat by not giving their best artists at depicting hot chicks a decent chunk of cash and royalties to do pornographic graphic novels featuring well-known characters. We've all had our retinas scorched by lesser-talented illustrators doing exactly that for their own one-handed gratification, so why not have somebody like Adam Hughes or Frank Cho do a beautifully-illustrated and hardcore KINGDOM CUM?

Oh my yes. Being an art fag, I think an Alex Maleev porn book would be incredible.

(though at some point I really do want to talk to yer pal Amanda Connor about an adaptation I've been kicking around as a script for a bit)

That's "Conner" to you, mate!

Fabulous. It looks like something you'd see in the old "Gay Comics" magazine. And the punchline is now fixed in my brain for all time.
