So Greaseball Johnny wrote in to cast a vote for leaving the background white, due to it being easier to read. I guess I can live with that despite it not suiting my usual aesthetic, but what do you have to say, o dear Vaulties?
The funny thing is when I finish writing a post, publish it and then hit the "View Post" option, it still reads as white text against a black background. Then, when I hit the Vault's logo to take me to the full blog, it's all suddenly the white background. Ah, the vagaries of the Internet...

I see black on the "leave comments", but white on the regular. Honestly, your written word trumps any aesthetics. Just don't go lime green background with flourescent orange text, please
The white background is easier to read for these old eyes.
Black on white is easier to read. And I always side with easier to read.
Much better! I can normally read for about two minutes and flip away.
Mine is showing up on a white background now... doesn't have the same panache as the black!
"Once you go black..." I'm just sayin'
Black text on white bg!

I don't want to do anything to get on the bad side of those who have trouble reading the old format. So I'll just let it go, wistfully.
Didn't we almost have it all, old format? When love was all we had worth giving? The ride with you was worth the fall, my friend. Loving you makes life worth living.
The white screen is just a tad bright for my vampire-like eyes. Blogger has a lot of options for background colors. You want see if you like 10% of gray, or blue better.
Blogger has also made a lot of options easier, including uploading an image for your logo. You have such an interesting and popular blog, you may want to think about that.
I didn't mind the black background, but noticed that the page has adjustable width now. I blows out the text to fit the screen.
