SHIRTS OFF MY BACK Part 3: MANGA/ANIME
Manga and anime, two more lifelong passions that I am quite happy to represent for by wearing their imagery, especially anything featuring FIST OF THE NORTH STAR and its protagonist, Kenshiro.
My oldest FIST OF THE NORTH STAR tee, and my hands down favorite. I found this in a now-defunct comics shop in Carroll Gardens and I would have bought two if they had more. This had apparently been on display for a year or two, but didn't sell because at the time FIST OF THE NORTH STAR was still virtually unknown in the United States. If memory serves, I bought this a little less than 20 years ago.

SHIRTS OFF MY BACK Part 2: MONTY PYTHON TEES
I have loved the comedy of Monty Python since discovering it at age 9 via airings of MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS on PBS, and I have been happy to represent as a fan by wearing gear with their imagery on it since the mid-1980's. My first Python shirt was a "Silly Walks" silhouette sequence that's around here somewhere but that I can;t find for the life of me, so these will have to do.
