As seen in the previous chapters, the Wizard World Philly Con was a cosplaying Mecca, and one of the highlights in that department was the massive cosplay photo shoot outside of the main convention area. Perhaps three of four dozen costumed revelers showed up and merrily mingled and posed for the shutterbug cosplay enthusiasts and the official photographer for the online Wizard World magazine. I showed up to lend support to Amber and Ashley, but also to take shots of all the wonderful costumes. (NOTE: double-click on the photos to embiggen.)
When utter hawtness and geekery merrily collide, it's like the mating of peanut butter and chocolate.
Han Pan as my favorite Harley Quinn out of the scores that I've seen over the years. She nailed the look perfectly, had the manic energy and bouncy athleticism, and in general just plain rocked the character like the champ that she is.
I particularly like this Poison Ivy. She has an old school pinup-meets-Preston Blair beauty.
This guy really did a great Impulse. Oh, and the Huntress to his left had her outfit may by the uber-talented geek goddess Amber, who is, among other things, a costume designer.
Harley Quinn versus Starman. I don't care what anyone says, crazy always trumps science.
I've gotta give it up for the lady rocking the animated version of Superwoman (the one with the ponytail). She totally brought the "fierce."
Amazonian excellence: (L-R) Superwoman (animated version), Hippolyta, Superwoman (comics version), Wonder Girl (second costume version), Donna Troy (or Troia, if you prefer).
Best Joker ever (more on him next chapter), and Ace only further beautifies the scenario.
Time-out for repairs and sore feet. Hey, cosplay ain't easy, but somebody's gotta do it. Strength, ladies!
TUNE IN TOMORROW FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER OF DAY 2: "ONCE MORE TO THE FLOOR."
